Dang that was a monster post with a ton of info! Having also been a poor mom during the heat and the cold (Indiana seasons are brutal sometimes) I have used most of these! I need to up my supplies - we had a mice issue that took out a lot of my extras last year and I haven't restocked yet (can't figure out how to get rid of them)
I will say my #1 thing is canning - I can everything from fruits and veggies to any extra meats to even some full meals. Since everything is fully cooked (and not frozen) it's edible with just a little bit of heat. Or sometimes no heat at all, lol
