I realized about 10 years ago I couldn't work easily outside the home. With three boys who needed me and my husband's health declining there was always an emergency. Our three have a rare disorder and are also autistic, plus have epilepsy. Our middle guy outgrew his seizures several years ago.
Medication is something we've struggled with, though not to this extreme. I'm so sorry for what you guys went through but so happy for the ending.
I've told folks before that I never worried about an autism diagnosis, especially for our guys. Not when we've had to deal with brain damage and seizures from hell. So I understand that.
We always refused meds until we had no option to choose otherwise. But sometimes you just don't have a choice.
